#10: The Strength in the Valley
"The term “mountain top experience” comes from those moments in the Bible when God revealed Himself to people on a mountain." ( Saxe ) Christians get so caught up on the mountaintop experience that they forget the importance of the valley. God is with us at all times and he doesn't leave us (Isaiah 41:10). Yet, once life hits us and we don't "feel" God's presence or if He's not miraculously making everything okay, then we start to resent Him and loose faith because we didn't build a firm foundation and relationship with Him. When everything is going great we are so easy to trust in Him and His ways but when diversity and hardship is thrown at us, we will crumble. We will be so focused on the end solution to our problems that we will start to idolize the mountaintop experience and we will forget to give glory to the one who guides us to the mountains.
